There are so many fun things to do with pets in Minneapolis. Vacation Pet Friendly just loves a city that loves their dogs, and Minneapolis/St. Paul is one of the dog friendliest cities around. While the city is known for some of the fiercest winters in the country, it is also a city that is well equipped for dealing with the frigid temps. When the sun comes out, so do dogs and their owners to enjoy the many amenities Minneapolis/St. Paul affords to its canine residents. The Twin Cities boast 28 different dog parks in the cities. That more or less means that no matter where you are in Minneapolis or St. Paul, you are not all that far away from a dog park.

Check out the many Minneapolis’s dog parks on our Minneapolis Travel Guide developed completely for pet owners. It will show listings complete with amenities and maps. We cannot pass up the opportunity to tell you about Alimagnet Dog Park in suburban Burnsville, Minnesota. This park was voted one of the best dog parks in the nation by Dog Fancy magazine in 2005. The park features a pond, a heater weather shelter (important for those frigid Minnesota winters ), a special space for senior citizen dogs and special needs dogs and a washing station.  With amenities like that, we can see why Dog Fancy magazine chose Alimagnet Dog Park as one of its best.
