Head on over to the heart of all things Buckeye with your pooch and watch the coeds go nuts. When you’ve toured the campus and your dog has soaked up as much love as he or she can, head out to one of the great patios at the restaurants around campus for a sandwich and a beer with your dog. If it’s time for a little doggie play time, head over to one of Columbus’ pawesome dog parks where you and your four legged friend are sure to meet some of the friendly locals – of both the two and four legged variety. In fact, you might want to check out the Pooch Playground Dog Park at Pizzuro Park – a five acre fenced off leash area with a creek for swimming.  The park is located at 940 Pizzurro Park Way off South Hamilton Road in Gahanna, Ohio.

Or you and your hound might want to try out Alum Creek Dog Park which has three separate dog areas – one for large dogs, small dogs, and water dogs. The lake is closed during winter and the water spigots turned off, so be sure to bring drinking water for your dog if you’re visiting in colder months. Take Hollenback Road almost to the marina; there will be the dog park on the left just past the boat storage area.
